Tokyo Xanadu endgame neatness

Here's something I'm rescuing from my Tumblr drafts for a change instead of a post I actually published! I would've posted this closer to the time I actually finished Tokyo Xanadu, but the game is so obscure that it would probably have been like squeeing into the void... =/

Anyway, this is something from around the final dungeon (not counting the epilogue or any eX+ content) that players might not know about, and I thought it was pretty nifty.

Who's in which class in Tokyo Xanadu

Almost totally forgot about this one!

I compiled a quick at-a-glance list of which Morimiya Academy students are in which class, both for my own interests and in case it might be useful to fanfic writers.

( Cut for length, even if it is literally just a list of names )

It's particularly amusing to me that Yuuki and Nodoka are in the same class. ^^;

A little speculation about Yuri Tokikago

Another one I'm rescuing from a draft -- the only other one, actually. This is a theory I ended up having about the "secret of Yuri's body" while I was rewatching Penguindrum around 4 or 5 years ago.

( Spoilers for episode 15, has mentions of child abuse and bodily mutilation )

Might as well give a fair warning in advance at this point: The other Penguindrum-related post I intend to bring over is a lot longer and a hell of a lot crankier.

Juri/Shiori, Touga/Saionji, and mutual toxicity

This one's from around 4 years ago, a time when Lexi and I were both more than a bit frustrated with how most of the Utena fandom saw the Juri/Shiori relationship.

Juri/Shiori and Touga/Saionji are both pairings I like a lot, to boot.

Anthy/Utena's rocky start

Around 4 years ago, at Gaston's prompting, I posted a long list of pet peeves I had from the Utena fandom. Among many other things, one of the peeves I mentioned was fans acting like the Anthy/Utena pairing is a completely perfect love-at-first-sight affair with no problems to be overcome whatsoever.

I got an anon ask soon afterwards that sympathised with the pet peeve and also brought up how some fans think she got into the first duel to save Anthy as opposed to just getting back at Saionji over the incident with Wakaba's love letter. In response, I ended up writing a couple of paragraphs on how Anthy/Utena did not get off to a flawless start in-series.
