let the not-class trial begin

mikogalateaPlayed a bit more of YTTD, which has taken me to the very beginning of Chapter 1's Main Game!
With that, here's my current thoughts-gathering and speculations.

So putting aside the Commoners with no particular quirks or perks, there's three special roles in this Main Game: the Keymaster, who'll basically get the entire group killed if chosen as the victim; the Sage, whose only power seems to be that they know who the Keymaster is; and the Sacrifice, who gets two votes but is guaranteed to die unless they're chosen as the victim, in which case only they and one other person of their choosing will survive.
Sara is the Keymaster, which makes it vital that she survives this Game even beyond the fact she's the protagonist.
Sou is very likely to also have a special role, considering the card in the hidden room that he seemed to be aware of. In that case, he'd have to be either Sage or Sacrifice, and I'm personally leaning towards Sage for him. (On the other hand, I'm bearing in mind that Keiji also knew about the hidden room before Sara did, so I can't discount the small possibility that the card in that room might be his instead.)
If the above is true, then my best guess for the Sacrifice's identity is either Kai or Joe -- Kai because it feels darkly fitting for him as Sara's apparent stalker, and Joe for the tragedy factor.
I'm not sure if there's anything special to be read into the fact that Kanna only showed up to the Main Game grounds at the last minute. Probably not, since the poor girl's so traumatised as-is, but who knows.
