mikogalateaGuess who I've now pulled into the Deer, shortly before Chapter 3's story battle! :D :D
I swear Linny hits on Byleth when he's recruited outside the Eagles. ^^; I like to think he's one of the characters who has at least a bit of a thing for them no matter what.
Now for another support report!

To get Linny's supports out of the way first, I'm pleased to say that both Hapi/Linhardt and Linhardt/Marianne promise to be good ships as of their respective C-ranks! I was so burned by what I saw of his Lysithea supports before, I was worried his other supports with non-Eagle girls would be like that and he'd come across as an overly self-centred dehumanising jerk to Marianne and Hapi as well, but nope! Even when Marianne was uncomfortable about her Crest and Hapi didn't trust that he helped her for anything other than selfish reasons, nothing in these C-ranks left me wanting to smack my favourite boy! His early unique mealtime dialogue with them assures me that he's also interested in them as people, too.
I'm looking forward to seeing more of both these chains, and right now I don't regret wanting to pursue Hapi/Linny as a paired ending on this run. :3 (Of course, if I end up liking Linny/Marianne more by endgame, I'm perfectly willing to work with that too.)
Lysithea and Marianne may be my favourite Deer girls, but their C-rank mostly makes me think they don't mesh well together personality-wise. At least Lysithea felt bad about going off on her and apologised, though Marianne takes her self-blame pretty far in this support even by her standards.
Claude/Lysithea C sees him having fun pissing her off and treating her like a kid. I now have increased appreciation for Balthus/Lysithea C.
Lorenz/Hilda are kind of fun together. I want to at least see their C+ next! On the other hand, I can't say Claude/Hilda C grabbed me all that hard, though that's not to say it's bad.
Claude/Balthus C is good and interesting. Has Balthus sussed out Claude's true origins, I wonder? I swear he can actually be pretty smart, at least when he's not losing gambles like he does in Yuri/Balthus C.
I dunno about Ferdinand/Marianne as of their C+. Ferdie's a nice dude and he clearly means well, but he seems way too stuck on Marianne being a noble for her comfort. I'll see how their later supports pan out.
I've heard good things about Lorenz/Marianne, but as of their first C-rank, I'm just in the "wait and see how it develops" camp; I hope this chain doesn't also involve more emphasis being put on her noble status than she's comfortable with. Also, was Marianne sparkling just representative of how Lorenz was starting to see her then? ^^;
Ignatz/Marianne is cute so far. She smiled in a C-rank!
Hapi/Constance C is amusing. I love Hapi so much. ♥ She has a good C-rank with Byleth, too.

I've realised I still haven't gotten any Raphael supports yet, and it's making me feel bad for him. >>; It's not like I haven't been using him! Hopefully his physical tankiness will let him shine in the next battle and he can finally have conversations with people afterwards.

Date: 2020-04-20 08:41 pm (UTC)I paired Lorenz and Hilda in my first Azure Moon run, and they're hilarious together. Claude/Hilda has a bit more going for it in the cutscenes and their non-support interaction imo.
Lorenz/Marianne ends up being surprisingly sweet later on, especially their final support.
Lysithea is rather harsh towards Marianne. She means well, but both of them have problems and Lysithea hates it when people are overly negative about themselves.
Poor Raphael. x3 Get him to at least B support with Ignatz and bring tissues. Though his C support with Marianne is pretty hilarious.
