Even if Yuri wasn't outright raped, he still felt like he didn't have a choice but to let those people have their way with him just to get by. :/ The fact that his haters call him a Gary Stu for being able to romance Dorothea after finding that out is kind of sickening.

Doing a few maths tells me that any "consent" he might've given wouldn't have counted for much if anything at all. IIRC, Dorothea was about nine or ten when Manuela first discovered her and about twelve or thirteen when she first really rose to stardom; Yuri is only a year older than her, and he was adopted by Rowe over in Faerghus at about fourteen. (Did he specifically mention Imperial nobles treating him the way they did in this support?) The implication that the shitty nobles wanted Dorothea in that way when she was so young makes me absolutely sick, to say nothing of how they took it out on poor Yuri. ;.;

This all makes me all the more fucking furious at that one Yuri hater who erased this entire aspect of his backstory! Even if you don't think of the likely timeline, what part of the way Yuri spoke of his experiences remotely suggested he enjoyed it?! I swear, some people in this fandom are just plain heartless.

Oh God, that's even worse. D: On one hand, I'm glad Dorothea was safe from pedo nobles, but on the other hand Yuri wasn't. I know back then age of consent was younger but it doesn't make what those nobles did any less sickening and I am SO glad the game doesn't pretend like it's okay because of the time period.

Considering Bernadetta is an abuse victim and her haters blame HER for how her dad conditioned her to act*, I'm not surprised they pretend Yuri didn't suffer just because they hate him and think CS doesn't deserve to be canon. (Which it goddamn is in my book, idiots will pry it from my dead hands.)

*It's one thing if they have issues with how Bernie's presented at times, it would help if some of her supports didn't use the Funny Music. But people write off her suffering as a "gimmick" or a "punchline" when she's actually an uncomfortably realistic look at how some abuse victims DO behave.
