Edelgard!

I didn't get to finish that many of her supports in my original run, and it'll be a good while before I get to play CF again especially when I feel unmotivated to do SS partly because I'll have to snub Edie for it, but I'll do my best.

NoTP: Don't really have one for now, though I think Dimitri comes closest to this. Nothing to do with their being stepsiblings, much more to do with his putting their childhood friendship on a pedestal and his begrudging her over something she didn't do and my general bitter feelings about AM.

BroTP: Lysithea! They have a lot in common and their supports really show Edie's kinder side. I also can't ignore Petra here; they also have great supports and I love how Edie respects Petra's agency and really wants her to achieve good things for Brigid.

OTP: Hubert! I knew I was gonna like them together from the start, and I wasn't disappointed. :3

Second choice: Dorothea! This is one chain I was particularly sad about not getting to finish on my first run, because I loved what I did see and I can't complain about my favourite bi girls being bi together.

Fluffy: Female!Byleth. I'm sure the whole edeleth dynamic is going to hit very differently with me when I'm leading the Eagles as a girl.

Angsty: Probably Hubert again, what with their history, the "wall" between them thanks to their respective positions, the fact he can potentially be her only true ally, the fact they both die on any route that isn't CF...

Poly: Haven't really thought about any arrangements like this with her, or with just about anyone else from this game for that matter. That said, I could potentially get behind her, Hubert and female!Byleth all together.

Weirdest: I don't have any outright crack ships with her, but I'm sure not many other people really like her with Linhardt. Their supports are pretty fascinating to me and become moreso the more I think about them; they get along so poorly for the most part, and their B-rank has a rare and notable case of Linny getting genuinely pissed off, but I love how Edie really tries to accomodate him post-timeskip once she has that better understanding of him. It's another chain that I'm sad I didn't get to finish on my first run.

Someday I need to finish Edelgard's support chains with Linhardt and Caspar both.

And same with me for Hubert/Edelgard. Hubert's lines in the Forging Bonds event of FE Heroes were enough to start convincing me. :3

I guess it doesn't help that CF has so few chapters after the timeskip, so there isn't a whole lot of time to nudge everyone's supports up! At least the Wayseer can help a lot with that, so long as you've got the renown to spend.

I was pre-inclined to like Hubert/Edelgard because the profiles and other prerelease material made them seem a bit like two characters from another fandom whose canon I'd recently watched at the time. They turned out to be not quite like them, but that's absolutely fine and I do love them for who they are in canon. :3

Yeah, unfortunately. D: I eventually learned to get past the shortness of the route by abusing free auxiliary battles and building up certain supports pre-timeskip so they'd be ready to hit A rank afterwards, though.

I expected them to be similar to other noble/loyal retainer ships in FE myself, but I'm glad they're not, it adds some variety.

OH and speaking of Edelbert: Edelbert Analysis. This is actually pretty good, it has some obvious shipper bias and feels but it also busts certain misconceptions and goes deep in a way that doesn't feel overdone and pretentious.

It's been so long since I watched or read any part of Eva that I can't answer this meme too well with him. =/ All I can say is that the closest I have to an OTP is Kaworu and my second choice for him would probably be Rei.

Second choice: Her Ashe supports were pretty cute and promising from what I saw of them, but alas, that's another chain I didn't get to finish on my first playthrough. Other than that, I'm fond of her with Ferdie.

Fluffy: Dorothea!

Angsty: Caspar's an easy go-to here; I don't ship it romantically, but there's a chance I might change my mind on that front when I revisit their supports.

Weirdest: Don't have anything like that for her, at least not yet.

I'm glad I'll be seeing a good few more Petra supports in my next playthrough!
