Date: 2022-07-29 08:13 pm (UTC)All in all, I really enjoyed this what-if! Sure, I fatigued myself with support-grinding toward the end (which is really my own fault) and there's some things I think could've been expanded on, but it was cool to see Edelgard flip the bird at Those Who Slither early on, ordinarily-doomed characters like Lonato and Randolph survive, Edelgard and Claude team up, and more. The masochist in me also liked how the generally more positive progression of events tricked me into thinking the story was headed towards golden ending material, only to shatter that expectation along with my heart with the end of Chapter 8.
I'll be taking a break from the game before I start on Azure Gleam, but I expect it won't take me too long to come back to it. In the meantime, I'm making so many icons that I'm starting to run out of room to upload them! I wish I could afford to buy more icon space again...

(I do like that Randolph, Ladislava, Fleche, and Lonato live, though.)
I'm starting AG as soon as I finish my Crimson Flower run...I'm already scared about the Byleth recruitment chapter on that one because I hear it's a lot tougher.
