mikogalatea | getting an odd thought out there while sleepy

While there's a good number of conversations between Houses/Hopes characters I'd love to see that will probably never happen outside of fanfic (whether or not that fanfic currently exists), there's one in particular that I've suddenly got a bit of a hankering for.

Yuri and Edelgard.

I'm not imagining any kind of ship between them, but I just feel like what would almost certainly begin with Yuri complaining to Edie about making Count Varley the archbishop could turn into an opportunity for them to understand each other a lot better.

More to the point, since Edelgard started her war in the first place to change Fódlan so people could have more agency and control over their destinies, I wonder if that could be extended to the idea of reclaiming one's own body, as these two have both suffered horrible violations of their bodily autonomy. Granted, their experiences are very different, Edelgard doesn't reveal her past as a human experimentation victim to most people, and Yuri also doesn't exactly go around telling people he's a CSA survivor; still, even a faint bond that didn't have them directly revealing their traumas would be a bond I'd like to see.
