Before I jump back into Hopes for Azure Gleam, I'm having a little poke at Houses again. Can't believe my Silver Snow run has been stalled for about two years now... I might at least finish Chapter 3 before moving on, but I think first I'd have to brush up on the free battles so I can remember How To Strategy. ^^;

For now I'm just revisiting some old support conversations in the support log -- starting with a few of Ashe's, as it's been so long and I'm not picking him up in Houses again until the next run, whenever that'll ever happen. (That next run would be a second go through Crimson Flower, by the way. Not sure if I already said it before, but hey.)

I'd forgotten just how sweet the entire Ashe/Dedue chain was. Their A-rank especially is beautiful. ;.;

Rewatched Ashe/Marianne and what I got of Ashe/Petra as well. The latter is pretty cute, and I'm a bit sad I didn't get to finish it in my CF run. I'll definitely get that A+ next time.

Note to self: definitely also rewatch Yuri/Bernadetta C and Constance/Mercedes C, as they both showed lots of promise and I think I was even on the verge of already unlocking Coco/Mercie B in the current playthrough. Okay, rewatched those C-ranks now.

I've seen I was about to unlock Ignatz/Mercedes C, too, which I was looking forward to two years ago and still look forward to now. In the first place, getting a bunch of nice supports I hadn't seen before was one of the motivations I had to get through this route despite not looking forward to it at all...

Ashe/Dedue is one of the best supports in Three Houses, yes. <3 And Ashe/Petra is great, they have one of the cutest endings.

Which Ashe supports did you get in Scarlet Blaze? Because one of them really reminded me of Ashe/Dedue in the best way.

Unfortunately, I've come to realise that I seriously can't remember how to play this game! I feel intimidated just looking at a basic side map in the early game! Maybe I'll give finishing the chapter a go and just soft-reset if things go pear-shaped, or maybe I'll just go straight back to Hopes... we'll see.

Something I've come to appreciate after looking at old supports: I feel like Hopes is more willing to treat Constance in her outdoors state with seriousness/respect, or at the very least it doesn't bring out the comedy music like several scenes with outdoors!Coco in Houses did. Granted, there's a good few Coco support convos in Houses I still haven't seen and there could also be things I'm forgetting or misremembering, but either way, I do like how Hopes handles her.

ETA: I got all the Ashe supports that were available in the route. :3 Are you talking about the latter Ashe/Raphael convo?

Oh, dear. x3 Here's hoping you remember soon!

I've noticed that, too. I think the issue with Coco in Three Houses was that being a DLC character they didn't have a lot of space to flesh out her personality split and most of her convos are indoors. In Three Hopes she's part of the story from the get-go so they're able to do more with it.

(The lack of comedic music helps too, not gonna lie.)

I am, yes. <3 A big guy makes Ashe something to eat and Ashe cries over memories of the past while eating it...I really like how they revisited that from the Dedue convo.
