iron bullshit

Friggin' Iron Leaves! It's really showing up the fact I've never bothered much with Tera Raids before while playing Violet, and the fact I'm a Billie No-Mates who doesn't have a Switch Online sub and is thus stuck with AI allies of varyingly questionable usefulness doesn't exactly help!
My main team is currently in the mid-to-late 70s. Skeledirge, the most viable team member for this raid, is currently prone to getting its ass kicked despite ostensibly having a type advantage. As an attempted countermeasure, I've been training up an Iron Jugulis with a Dark tera type and have got it to lv75 so far... and it's also currently prone to getting its ass kicked despite ostensibly having a type advantage (plus its Quark Drive is proving to be a bit of a double-edged sword in a raid environment; the good news is that it gets to benefit from Leaves setting up its Electric Terrain, but the bad news is that the textboxes for the Quark Drive buffs take up valuable seconds of time).
Makes me wonder what I should do if I want this tricky bugger. Do I just train my 'mons more, even if it's got to be all the way up to lv100? (Which makes it just as well that I've still got postgame stuff to do.) Or am I going to need *gasp* an actual strategy to do this??
Well, I've got 'til the 12th to get it, so I've still got time yet.
