Yow, yet another long gap between updates. @.@;

And where have I got to now in Fire Emblem: Awakening, since that was the last thing I talked about here? Well... embarrassingly enough, because I put it off to the side for a while, I only beat chapter 16 the other day and have only just gotten my first non-Lucina child character today! >>; And the only pairs who got married since my last shipping tally are Virion/Cherche and Olivia/Henry, though I think Maribelle/Ricken and Gregor/Panne are close to that point now.

I'm really, really, really looking forward to the new Pokémon games that are coming out in October, and nearly every single thing I hear about them is making me want them all the more. I'm planning to get the Y version, and at this point I just want it to be October 12th already! (Thank the stars for the worldwide simultaneous release!)

I would say I'd try to update more often, but knowing how I've been lately, I can't make any promises at all. D:

Hahaha, I'm on my 6th run already. I've never done more than like, 3 consecutive runs of an FE game before but this one is just too addictive and there's WAY too many pairings to try out. This time I made a pre-teen Avatar with pink pigtails named Sue, guess who she's marrying. XD

I haven't been AS into Pokemon lately but I'm VERY excited about Sylveon and Fennekin and fairy-types. Stuart should totally whine on Shipwar about frilly fluffy little fairies being able to eat his dragons for lunch.

Pfff. ^^; I definitely want to experiment more with different pairings on my next playthrough -- and I really would like to do a second playthrough, because this game's fun. Time will tell, though!

I'm excited for Fairy-types and sky battles and shiny 3D graphics and yet another set of new Pokémon, and... well, most other things that aren't the mega evos. Stuart is holding fire until the full roster of new 'mons is revealed, though he already hates Flabébé. On the other hand, he was ready to bash the Pokémon-Amie feature six ways to Sunday, but then it showed his beloved Tyranitar and his nutbladder exploded.

The Avatar alone has enough choices that you'd need to play a million times just to get 'em all. @_@

Mega-evos...idk, they sorta look cool, but I'm nore excited about the new Pokemon and customizable player character.

Hahaha, oh Stuart. XD Well, least he has some restraint!

I'm currently on chapter 13 (I think) of my first run. I have been playing kind of slowly because I love grinding my characters (this is the first FE game where I genuinely stopped and grinded my characters... they were pretty weak and the chapters were too hard for me at first and it was frustrating me). Also, I think I might be the only one who doesn't want any of her characters to get married. XD; I think romance in FE games is just weird. But that's just me. (Chrom married my avatar and I was pretty mad about it. I wasn't going to have them marry and then he proposed, totally out of the blue. I think he proposes by default to the woman he has the highest relationship with.)

To be honest, the more I hear about Pokémon X/Y, the less I want to buy them. XD; Fairy type I could get past (although they will forever sound ridiculous to me)... but Mega-evolutions? It just doesn't feel like Pokémon anymore to me.

Grinding the characters has taken up a lot of time for me, too; come to think of it, I would've done Owain's paralogue a lot sooner if I hadn't insisted on getting Lissa up to lv20 before promoting her to a Sage. ^^; And while I like the rampant shipping, I think I can see where you're coming from; luckily, Chrom is the only character who has to get married, so you could leave everyone else at A supports and never activate the S ones.

I like the idea of Fairy-types, but I'll admit that I did balk when I first read about the mega-evos (and doubly so when I realised those first early scans weren't fakes!). I felt better about it when I found out they were essentially just glorified form changes, but I still kind of hope they won't be too over-emphasised in the games. >>; I'd say I've never been a fan of the multiple-form fetish that Game Freak seem to have had since Platinum, but then I remember that multiple forms have existed since frippin' Unown in the second gen!

I'm pretty sure I have one of the new Pokemons preordered already...definitely looking forward to those.

I've picked up FE:A again to grind through some of the teams I picked up from StreetPass at Otakon, and also because a bunch of people I know from journal roleplay have been playing it. It doesn't get old. There are so many pairings I want to try, but I only have two gamefiles at the moment and nearly everyone's married off in both of them...

Besides Cherche/Virion and Henry/Olivia, I also really like Maribelle/Gaius: they have a really interesting history.

ah, i started playing fire emblem too! it's really fun but i'm not very far in. have you put down a pokemon preorder yet? there are some really cool preorder bonuses at some of the stores :)

It's great, isn't it? Though it can be kind of stressful when you're faced with a difficult map and you're constantly triple-checking your decisions to make sure none of your characters die; Awakening isn't too cruel in that respect (putting aside some optional maps and the higher difficulty levels, anyway) but other games in the series can be downright brutal.

I haven't preordered it yet, but I will do soon. :D
