I'm watching Legend of the Legendary Heroes! (Also known as Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu, or DenYuuDen for short.)

I actually started watching it in mid-2016, around the time Dangan Ronpa 3 was airing, but I ended up just focusing on DR3 (not least because Funi UK's video player could be pretty damn uncooperative at the time...) and ultimately let my Funi subscription lapse when its deal with Crunchyroll meant the subbed content would all eventually go there instead. Sadly DenYuuDen never made it to Crunchy during that partnership, so since it's ended and Funi has all its subbed content back again, I decided the other day that I'd start subscribing to Funi again so I could enjoy all the exclusive shows I'd been eyeing up... or enjoy a show I'd already started before, in DenYuuDen's case!

I'm already a little further than I got to previously, and as before, I've been liking what I've seen. One might think from the silly title that it's just a comedy, but while it does have a fair amount of comedy, it can also just as easily be very serious and even downright dark; it's fond of its mood whiplashes. It's also full of pretty people, and the characters themselves are great.

One thing that inspired me to pick this show up again is that the writer of the original light novels is the same guy who's writing Seraph of the End, which I'm also a fan of. Between Seraph and DenYuuDen, I definitely feel that Kagami writes some solid characters, including some that I love a lot. :3

I'm looking forward to watching more!
